Plan your water
system installation.
A good fit starts with the water supply and the space available in your Santa Barbara home. We help coordinate equipment selection and a local installation crew.
Before the visit
Have your address, water supplier and current equipment details ready. Photos of the main shutoff, proposed equipment space and under-sink cabinet can help explain the layout. If you rent, discuss the property owner’s permission before permanent plumbing changes.
Whole-home equipment
Review the incoming water line, usable flow, equipment clearance and access to the bypass. Confirm whether the chosen system needs a drain, power or a brine container. Placement should allow the equipment to be serviced after installation.
Kitchen reverse osmosis
Check the filter and tank footprint against the cabinet. Decide where the drinking-water faucet will sit, confirm the drain arrangement and check power requirements for pumped or tankless equipment. Keep enough space to change cartridges.
Scope, payment and appointment
Confirm the model, included work and total price before agreeing. Kitchen under-sink reverse-osmosis installation has its own appointment path. For a whole-home system, choose a free test/site visit or request installation at least two weeks ahead. The equipment, scope and crew availability are confirmed before payment and final installation confirmation. A free-test inquiry by itself is not an installation reservation.
At handover
Keep the equipment model numbers, settings, flushing instructions, maintenance schedule and warranty contacts. Ask the installer to show you the bypass or shutoff and how to recognize a service issue.
