Match treatment to the water goal
A practical guide for your home. This is utility context and equipment guidance, not an individual water test.
Three different jobs
Whole-home filtration can address specified taste, odor or sediment concerns when the chosen media and flow are appropriate. A conventional ion-exchange softener reduces measured hardness. A kitchen reverse-osmosis system treats water at a separate drinking-water tap. One does not automatically replace the others.
Start with a measurement
Begin with the utility on your bill and measured hardness. Then review main-line access, cabinet space and your household’s water use.
A TDS meter alone does not identify individual contaminants or establish safety. Ask for the exact model’s performance documentation before relying on a reduction claim.
A considered next step
Let’s talk about your water.
Start with your address, water provider and the concern you want to solve.
